Neighborhood Profiles
Are you interested in biking but unsure of where to start? We’re making it easy to join the fun!
We are creating neighborhood bike guides so you can feel confident and safe trying out bike transit. These guides show you the safest, easiest route to take from your house to the grocery store, park, library, gym, and/or restaurants near you. They pair with our Bike Streets app and each completed guide has routes that have been recorded for you to see in advance and QAed by our trusty volunteers.
First up: Coker Hills. Take a look! And stay tuned as we work to roll out more neighborhoods.
Are you already a bike enthusiast and ready to help us expand our neighborhood profiles?
Volunteer with us! It’s simple:
Sign up for a neighborhood (see here for a list of in-progress neighborhood profiles before creating a new one. You don’t have to create a new guide to contribute, you can contribute to in-progress guides, too!).
Go on a ride! You’ll need to:
Route yourself via Bike Streets.
Record your ride (you can do this with a phone mount or contact us to borrow recording gear).
Make a note of any issues with the route on Bike Streets, our volunteers will address it.
Make a copy of the neighborhood profile document and start updating it for your neighborhood.
